RS Agrimix Evolution range

Built upon years of experience in agricultural engineering and marketing diet mixers, RS Agri Ltd believes that the RS Agrimix brand of mixers offers a total solution of feeding for the UK farmer. RS Agri Ltd has taken on board the comments and observations of UK farmers; those experienced in using diet mixers.  This has enabled the RS Agrimix to offer the best in terms of mixing all ingredients in the most varied of on farm situations. Designed in the UK, we believe the RS Agrimix represents the evolution of diet mixing and hence these vertical mixers are known as the Evolution models.

All dimensions in metres

Some machines can be lowered by fitting different wheels

RS Agri Ltd reserves the right to make alteration which may affect the above specifications

Full width and optimum height augers are fitted into the Agrimix.  This is essential for the correct mixing of material.  In twin and triple machines, there is a cross over auger system for improved mixing.  There are four knives fitted to each helix (full turn) of the auger, designed to give the most efficient chopping of fibre and a quicker mix of ingredients.  Apart from the top knife, there are two positions for all the other knives to provide a more aggressive chopping action if needed.

Choice of door positions
Multiple door positions are available, at the front, rear, sides and corners.  One or more doors can be fitted on each machine.

Choice of conveyor and elevator systems

  • A front door discharge onto a rubber belted front conveyor is the standard.  This can feed to either the right or left side for on-floor or lower trough feeding.
  • For feeding into a higher trough or over a higher barrier, an elevator (0.7m to 1.7m long) on either the right or left side can be fitted.
  • If there is a requirement for feeding to the rear a conveyor and/or elevator can be mounted.
  • There is an electric shuttle box option that allows discharging to both sides of the conveyor simultaneously.
  • A sliding front mounted conveyor or a sliding conveyor under a side door can assist with feeding into wider troughs

All Agrimix machines have a two-speed gearbox fitted as standard.  This means the mixer can:

  1. mix small mixes efficiently
  2. be fully emptied
  3. be started when fully loaded with low horse-power

The 2-speed gearbox is operated electrically for ease of operation.
Augers are driven by heavy duty 90 degree planetary gearboxes with speeds of over 40 revolutions per minute achievable.

Choice of axles

  • Single auger mixers come with a braked axle as standard.

  • For lower machines, this axle can be mounted at the rear of the machine.
  • Twin auger mixers up to 24m3 also come on a single braked axle as standard.  All twin auger models can come on a twin sprung axle or twin axle, rear steering system.
  • All triple auger mixers come as standard on a triple axle system with the front and rear axles steering.

Wheels

The choice of wheels depends on the amount of road work and the load carried; wheels can be specified to either lower the overall height of the machine or to raise the machine to feed into a higher trough.  There is also an option to have puncture resistant foam filled wheels.

Weighing systems are fitted as standard to give accurate measurements of materials loaded and unloaded.  Further options include a remote control for the standard system, a programmable weighbox with remote control and the PC-based Feed Navigator system.  This allows for accurate rationing and mixing linked to stock control of ingredients and it provides detailed feed management information.
For a one-off purchase cost Feed Navigator will give essential data to manage both feed and feeding costs.

A popular option are powerful tub magnets fitted into the tub wall.  They are a useful aid to removing wire and small metal objects that can be harmful to cows.  These can be fitted into new or used machines.

Other options include monitoring cameras, mineral chute, side extensions, buggy axle, chain and slat conveyors - please contact RS Agri Ltd for information on the full range of options for the vertical mixer.
